ITALIAN MINISTERIAL AUTHORISATIONS – Compulsory certification in Italy

In Italy, every scaffold to be sold must have a Ministerial Authorization complete with drawings defining standard installation schemes.

All Ministerial Authorization of Pilosio scaffolding have been renewed in accordance with Legislative Decree DL 81/2008, which requires a documentary check every 10 years.

SQ PONTEGGI QUALITY MARK – Voluntary certification for Italian market

For many years now, Pilosio has adhered to the SQ Ponteggi Quality Mark by adopting quality requirements for the scaffolding production system that are more restrictive than those required by Ministerial Authorization (machining tolerances, welding, etc.).

The SQ Ponteggi mark is issued by the Italian Institute for Quality Assurance (IGQ).

ISO 3834-2:2021 – Quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials

Voluntary certification

ISO 3834-2:2021 is a voluntary certification that certifies and guarantees a high, consistent and monitored quality of welding on steel and aluminum products.

It applies to both automatic robot welding and hand welding.

The standard provides for numerous checks and special requirements during all stages of production and a lot of attention to the training of specialized operators.

UNI EN 1090-1:2009 + A1:2011 – Execution of steel and aluminum structures

The EN 1090-1:2009 + A1:2011 standards are European standards that regulate the fabrication and assembly of steel and aluminum structures and are recognized by the Construction Products Regulation (CPR). They are not mandatory for temporary equipment.

The components of the following systems are CE-certified according to UNI EN 1090 in class EXC2:

  • Aluminum walkways
  • MP multidirectional scaffolding
  • Flydeck system

UNI EN 12810 and EN 12811

UNI EN 12810-1:2004 Facade scaffolding made of prefabricated components – Part 1: Product specifications.
